PAMPHYLIA. Aspendus. Julia Maesa, Augusta, 218-224/5. Hexassarion (Bronze, 31 mm, 22.23 g, 6 h). ΙΟΥΛΙΑΝ ΜΑΙϹΑΝ Diademed and draped bust of Julia Maesa to right. Rev. ΑϹΠЄΝΔΙ/ΩΝ Serapis seated left on throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and extending his right hand over Kerberos seated left at his feet; to left, Isis standing right, holding in sistrum in her right hand; to right, Demeter (?) standing facing, head to left, holding long torch in her right hand. RPC VI online 6265. SNG Paris 171. A large and impressive issue with an interesting reverse. Some scratches, otherwise, very fine.
